Surge Diverters
Metrosil MIMOX type SVL has been developed specifically for
switching applications where the surge to be suppressed
may have a fast rise time, but low energy content. Their
rated voltages are from 1.2 kV to 15.5 kV.
Type SVL Diverters are constructed from metal oxide
varistors, which are highly non-linear and thus offer
excellent protection levels.
This type of diverter is recommended for use with any
device (transformer, motor) where the withstand impulse
voltage is low and high-energy absorption is not required.
They are particularly useful for loads, which are switched
with vacuum contactors.
